29 Weeks and hey dude!

Julia is 29 weeks old, but let's start with me.  Like my slippers?  Well, they're really Mommy's slippers but I thought I'd put them on.

After dinner one day, I wanted to eat some fruit (my favorite type of food!).  I couldn't wait for Daddy to peel the apple so I thought I'd take a bite.  I always see my Mommy eat an apple without peeling so I thought I'd try too.  I ended up eating the meat and spitting out the skin before Daddy took it from me so he could peel.

We got this toy from Auntie Elna...she's a neighbor on our street.  I like playing my saxophone for Julia.

Don't I look big in this picture?  It's not a very flattering angle.

Look, Elliot is making sure I don't fall back while I'm sitting up.  How nice of him.

While Mommy was trying to get a picture of us, Elliot was getting antsy.  Me?  I was going for Elliot's bread.  Let me try some!!

This is how my parents keep me from falling some times.
Mommy wanted to get a picture of me pouting.  Daddy scared me with one of his electric drills so I wasn't too happy.

Grandma was playing peek-a-boo with me.

We had a play date at Meagan's house. I really liked playing with her vacuum cleaner.

 Hey Dude!!!  Like my glasses?

Meagan and I had a lot of fun exchanging sunglasses.

This is me again but raising three fingers.  I couldn't quite figure out how to do it like I did earlier.

Elliot's toys are yummy.

We hope you enjoyed the pictures for this week.  I think Mommy made up for not taking pictures of me last week.

28 weeks and Chinese New Year

I'm 28 weeks old this week and we celebrated something called Chinese New Year.

All I know is that I get these yummy red envelopes to munch on.  I really like this picture of us and my grandparents.

I had to Bai Leen to my grandparents, now that I'm older.

Here I am with Grandma.  Happy New Year Grandma!

 Grandma is hiding behind me.

I can kind of move around.  I initially started out on my back in the middle of the mat.  When Mommy came home from work, she saw me here and was surprised.

When Mommy picked me up from school one day, she saw me getting gas for my ride.

Great Auntie Veronica, Uncle James, and Uncles Stephen were in town briefly.

Here's a picture of all of us at once.

Mommy was trying to get a picture of me sitting up, but I kept moving around.

Hi there!
 Hehehe!  I like my feet!

I also like my finger.
Finally, since I'm getting better at sitting up, I'm beginning to play with toys that way too.  Mommy is sitting behind me though, making sure I don't fall backward.  Thanks, Mommy!

Mommy realized again that she didn't take very many pictures of me.  Oh well, guess that goes with the territory since I had a lot of pictures already from before.  See you next week!

6 months and check up stats

Hi everyone!  I'm 6 months old already.  This month, I'm 26.75" long (around 75th percentile), 16 lbs. 3 oz (45th percentile), and have a head circumference of 43.25 cm (77th percentile).  Here's my monthly picture.

I also had my check up.  I'm 38.25" tall and weigh 30 lbs 8 oz.  I am no longer tall for my age, as I'm in the 68th percentile or something like that (rather than 80th) and I'm still a skinny monkey in the 37th percentile for weight.

Again with the tummy time???  I'm just so tired of this.

On another note, do you like my outfit?  One of mommy's friends Dixie bought it for me.  Thanks, Dixie!  Look how well I'm sitting too!

Daddy wanted to try to get a picture of the both of us, but Elliot wasn't really cooperating.  I, on the other hand, am such an angel.

That's because you can't move yet, Julia.  Yeah, yeah, big brother, rub it in.

Help!  The giraffe is squishing me!!!  But he sure is making me laugh!

Here I am being silly again.

Mommy told me to smile.  Cheese!!

She then told me to smile again but with eyes open.  I think I'm getting better at this.

It was a low key week for us.  Hope you enjoyed the post!  Happy Chinese New Year everyone!

26 weeks!

Look at me!  I'm 26 weeks now.  Grandma left me on the couch for a second and here I am, almost about to fall down.  I'm getting kind of mobile now, so we're going to have to watch me more carefully from now on.

This picture is after Grandma set me back upright.

Sorry fans.  Apparently, this is the one of three pictures of me this blog, and I'm barely in the other ones. Oh well.  I was in a lot of pictures last week. I'm getting more comfortable in the water during swim class.  It helps that I have my favorite loader with me.

Mommy set up this toy between our living room and office, since that's the only place that has a ledge to hang this toy.  I'm not sure Julia likes it much, but I enjoyed playing with the make shift platform behind her.

Mommy's been trying to get me to do more tummy time.  Many times, I'm quite lazy.  I just lay on my tummy and lay my head down.  On this occasion, I started crying and my awesome big brother came over to comfort me.  I promptly stopped crying after that.

Although I'm not truly mobile, I do move around when I'm playing.  I did start off in the middle, and now I'm kind of stuck.  Help!

More tummy time for me, and I seem happy here.

Can you guess what I'm about to do here?  I rolled over onto my back.  I don't do it well by myself though.  Mommy has to prop me up onto my elbows.  As I mentioned previously, I just would prefer to lay my head down on the mat.  I also rolled from my back to my tummy two times, but that's also a rare occurrence.  Mommy says it's about time...apparently Elliot was able to roll onto his tummy back when he was 17 weeks.  What can I say?  I'm a delicate flower.

Here's a video of me just getting bored with the whole tummy time business.

Here's a video documenting this momentous occasion.

Like my smirk?

Check out this new toy I have.  It's actually a hand me down, but I was rather entranced by all of the things to play with.

Like my 49er onesie?  I got it from Shirley, the lady who took my 2 week infant pictures.  Can you believe I can fit it now?  Go niners!  Too bad they lost the superbowl, whatever that is.  Is there a small bowl too?  Maybe next year.
Both Elliot and I are going in this week for our 3 yr and 6 month check ups respectively.  We'll fill you in on details in the next post.
