Vegas, Happy New Year, and 2 Year Birthday!!!

Hello everyone!  As you know from the title, I am now 2 years old!  Happy birthday to me!!!  But before we get to that, let me update you all on what happened in the last month.  There are a lot of pictures, so be prepared.

After Christmas, we went down to Las Vegas for a kind of family reunion on Mommy's side.  I didn't nap at all that day, except for 30 minutes on the plane.  Don't blame me!  There's a lot of stimulation going on and lots to see.  But Daddy caught a picture of me when I finally did sleep.  Mommy LOVES this picture.

When we finally got there, I saw soo many uncles.  It was hard to keep track of them all.  I recognized Uncle Eric, of course (first picture), but I never met Uncle Tim until that day.

I know Alyssa, of course!  It was good to see her again.

The next day we had breakfast together.  Here we are with Auntie Jen and Alyssa.

Since it was just Christmas, there were still a lot of decorations up in many of the different hotels.  They were all really pretty to look at.

Ooh, I like water.  Let me get up.

Whoa!  Too close.  Good thing Grandma pulled me back or else I'd probably would've gotten all wet.

I like giving hugs and some times kisses.
One evening, when Daddy checked on me, he started laughing really hard.  So Mommy came over and took a picture.  I don't look very comfortable, do I?  Well, the crib IS smaller than what I'm used to at home.

Another day of seeing Christmas decorations, and I'm giving Uncle Calvin a work out for his arms.

Here's a great family picture of all of us.  We were all even looking in the same direction as the camera!
And then, of course, my grandparents wanted another picture with me.

Then again, who DOESN'T want a picture with me???  Here I am with Great Auntie Leona, and another with Uncle Jon.  I really liked Uncle Jon.  I hadn't seen him since I was 6 months old.  He made me laugh a lot and I kept saying, "Uncle Jon funny."  I still say it now too, once in a while.

Vegas was a whirlwind trip, and I didn't get pictures with everyone there, unfortunately.  But it sure was a lot of fun to see Uncle Brian, Auntie Mary, Auntie Colleen, Uncle Warren, Great Auntie Susanna, and Great Uncle Richard!

We came back home and celebrated New Year's Day at dim sum.  Here's my present to Mommy.  I just planted one on her for a good five minutes.  She wasn't expecting it at all and she LOVED it!

The day after, we celebrated Daddy's birthday.  I'm getting more practice at blowing out candles.  Happy birthday, Daddy!

While Mommy was cooking one day, I decided to play with her oven mitt.  I think it fits nicely, don't you?  And yes, that is my lovey in my other hand.  Who says I can't multi-task?

The following weekend, I went to a birthday party at Gymboree.  I've never been there before, but I sure did enjoy myself.  I loved walking up and down the ramps, and crawling through things.
 Peek-a-boo!

I also like playing hide and seek with Daddy.

The weekend after that, I had my early birthday party.  Yay for parties!!  I was rather enticed by this cake.  And do you like my face?  When Mommy says "smile" in Chinese, this is my smile.

Check me out!  I blew out the candle all by myself.  My parents were so proud.

I was so proud too!  I had to high five everyone around the table.

Auntie Jenne and Ryan had to come over too, because I raised my hand to them even though they weren't as close by.

Another "smile" picture, and then one where you can actually see my eyes.

I didn't get pictures with them, but I did play with Alex and Lucas.  Here they are with their mommies.

Grandma wanted to hold me and Iris both!  Her hands were full!

I think Meagan likes my car.

The day of my birthday, Mommy came by with some muffins to share with my daycare friends.  Yum, muffin!

That evening, we went to Cheesecake factory to celebrate. Look how cool the plate is!

Ooohh, strawberries!
Did I mention I liked strawberries?

A great family picture.  Like my mouth?  It's covered in strawberry sauce!  If you can't see it, you should click on the picture to see a bigger version.
I had my 2 year check-up this week too!  I am now 35.75" (around the 85th percentile), 27.05lbs (~45th percentile), and my head is 51.75 cm (continuing to be off the chart).  Mommy thinks that I dropped off the 90th percentile height curve because I was sick with the flu for a week.  I didn't eat anything at all while my grandparents took care of me since I wasn't feeling well, but who knows.

Whew!  What a busy month!  I hope I didn't bore you with all the pictures.  At least you get to see me get bigger!  Until next time!
