Disneyland, Easter, and 27 Month Birthday

As the title states, lots have happened this past month.  First off, Mommy had Spring break and she spent the week with me in the beginning of April.  It was really nice spending time with her, though I think she was exhausted.  She decided that it was the week to introduce me to potty training.  I will say, I gave my parents a run for their money, that's for sure.  But by the end of the week, I was doing really well, I must say.

But first, check me out here!  Now that I'm tall enough, I like swinging from this in the park by our house.  This is one of the things we did during spring break.

At the end of the week, Mommy brought me back to daycare so I could have some experience with collecting eggs for the basket my teachers made.  I was only allowed to take five eggs, but I was really good at picking up the ones Mommy named the colors for.

Later that evening, we drove down to Los Angeles so that I could go to Disneyland on Friday.

Disneyland was SOOO much fun!  I got to go on the "It's a Small World" ride twice...I really liked that ride.  I also LOVED driving in the race car at Autopia.  Mommy was a trooper and waited in line with me, but once Daddy returned from riding his own roller coaster ride, Mommy gave up her spot for Daddy.

Another first for me was trying a churro.

After the first bite, I couldn't wait to get another one.  Yum!

Mommy also let me try a chocolate covered frozen banana.  Double yum!








When I saw Uncle Michael eating popcorn, I ate some too.

We liked chasing each other around.

The following day, we met up with Great Uncle Kai and Great Auntie.  I haven't seen them in a long time, and they were excited to see me again.

That night, I met up with a lot of my uncles and aunties again, and my cousin Alyssa!  Every time Alyssa saw me, she said, "EH!"  I think that's how she says my name.

The next morning (and our last day), we met up with Great Uncle James and Great Auntie Cindy for brunch.  I warmed up to them pretty quickly.




On the way home, we stopped by this place called Harris Ranch, and there was a Easter Bunny there.  I didn't want to take a picture with the one we had at daycare, but with Daddy by my side, I was willing to take a picture with this one.

The week after, I went back to daycare, and I apparently forgot that I was only suppose to pee in the potty, so my parents decided to only train me at home first.  I guess that's to be expected, as there are so many things going on at daycare.

On one of the weekends, it was SUPER hot.  Mommy suggested that I play with the water table in our backyard and I had a blast.










We did have a play date with the July babies on Sunday that weekend.  Here's a pic of me, Ryan, and Lucas, though it's hard to see who is who.  I'm the one on the left.

The really cool thing about this particular weekend (according to my parents) is that I started telling them I needed to pee, and then would wait until they took me.  I would even stop while I was playing (at home) to tell them I needed to go.  My parents are SOOO excited and proud of me...it has taken me about 2 weeks to get to this point.  I don't see what the big deal is, but I'm happy to comply.  Now if only I will start telling the teachers at daycare that I need to go.  We'll see when I feel like doing that.

26 Months Birthday and Tahoe!

Happy 26 months birthday to me!  Some times I just like being silly.  Mommy bought me some new clothes and I played with the sticker that came with it.

We went to Iris's one year birthday party and here's a picture Auntie Rita took of me and Mommy.

 
I don't play with the tunnel very often, but I do enjoy it when I DO get to play with it.











Two weekends ago, Auntie Jen and Alyssa came to  visit. I missed Uncle Michael, so I was looking at the phone while Uncle Michael was talking to us.

 We had lunch with Grandpa and Auntie Nat.

  I also really like trying on my parents' shoes.  Here I am styling with Mommy's boots.

 
The next weekend, I saw Auntie Kristine.  She's going to have a baby too!  We don't know if it's a boy or girl, but either way, I can't wait to meet the new baby!



Uncle Mike, Auntie Jen, and Alyssa came up again this weekend too!

At dinner, Alyssa and I wanted to play upstairs in the restaurant, so we kept laughing and screaming and looking down at Mommy and Uncle Mike.




My parents don't know why I do this, but sometimes I like running around the house with my arms behind my back.  They think it's funny.  I just like doing it.

Apparently, Daddy likes it too...

As you saw in the title, we went somewhere called Lake Tahoe.  Mommy and Daddy said I was going to see snow, so I had to dress up in this outfit.  I had a hard time walking in these boots though.

It was a bit cold, so Daddy put on mittens for me.
We went to Hansen's tubing "resort".  According to Mommy, it wasn't really a resort.  I guess because the weather has been warm, there wasn't much snow around.  The workers there had to bring in snow on their ATV (ooooh, ATV...I was definitely more interested in looking at THAT than I was at the snow).  But in either case, here I am going tubing with Daddy.

I liked it the first couple of times.  By the third time, the snow hit my face and I wasn't thrilled.  But here I am the fourth time enjoying myself.

At the cabin we stayed at, there were two other kids around my age.  I was actually the youngest AND the only boy.  I was ROCKIN!  (There were actually two other slightly younger girls there too, but they had left by the time we were playing here).

On the way back home, Daddy stopped by Bridal Veil Falls.  It was the first time I saw a waterfall, and I liked getting wet by the mist.









Finally, I was getting a bit hungry on the way back so I thought I'd munch on something close by.

It was a good month with lots of visitors and activities.  My parents were a bit bummed there wasn't more snow for me to play in, but I was content.  Considering it was my first time, I don't know what the big deal was.  When I held the snow, it was really cold.

25 Month Birthday!

Sorry everyone, for the late post.  Mommy forgot what day it was and she forgot to let me use the computer.  We had some very cool visitors this last month, so let's start.

First off, Mommy had to take this picture of me when I was napping.  Apparently, she thought it was cute that even in my sleep, I was giving my doggy a kiss.

Great Uncle Zadig came to visit.  He hasn't seen me since I was 2 months old.  I wasn't sure of him at first, but once he started giving me ema-eme (edamame) to eat, I was sold.










My parents took me to the farmer's market and bought me some strawberries.  As you already know, I LOVE strawberries.  Here's a big bite for you!

It was Chinese New Year also this past month.  I was able to feed this lion. I wasn't even scared of him!  I'm so brave.







Uncle Calvin, Great Auntie Leona and Great Uncle Paul came to visit around then too.

I was a little bored by the conversation at the table, that's for sure.

The best part of that weekend they were here was the fact that I got to see construction trucks!  Oooh!!!

After we went to a friend's one year birthday party, I was pooped.  I actually fell asleep in the car!  Mommy says it doesn't happen very often.














Another weekend, Uncle David, Uncle James, and Great Auntie Veronica came to town from Hong Kong.  I haven't seen them since I was 15 months old, but I sure did give them some love!

Great Auntie Veronica was sooo nice!  She bought me new clothes and CRACKERS!!!













My parents decided to bring me back to the Academy of Sciences.  They figured that since I'm older now, I'd appreciate it more.

What are they squiggly things anyway?  Mommy says they're called jellyfish.

While I did enjoy some of it, it was a toss-up.  My parents think I have to be a little older to really start liking this place.  I was more content to run up and down ramps.

Most of you know already, but one of the reasons why Mommy forgot what day it was is because she has something called "Mommy brain."  Since she became my Mommy, she tends to forget things once in a while.  But now, she also has something called "pregnancy brain."  Apparently, I'm going to get a younger brother or sister this July!  No wonder Mommy is so forgetful!
